Welcome to JiKnit ("the App"). Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using the App. By using the App, you agree to be bound by all the terms and conditions set forth herein.
1. Service Description
JiKnit is a project management tool designed for knitting and crochet enthusiasts, providing the following features:
- Creation, editing, and management of knitting projects
- Yarn inventory recording and tracking
- Knitting schedule planning and reminders
- Smart chart recognition and import
- Text recognition (OCR) functionality
- System extensions such as Widgets and Live Activity
2. User Accounts
2.1 Account Registration
The App currently does not require account registration for basic features. Some advanced features may require in-app purchases through the Apple App Store.
2.2 Subscription Services
The App offers the following subscription options:
- Free Version: Basic features including project creation, yarn inventory, calendar, etc.
- Pro Version: Advanced features including unlimited projects, iCloud sync, advanced Widgets, etc.
Subscriptions are processed through the Apple App Store and are subject to Apple Media Services Terms.
3. User Conduct
You agree to comply with the following guidelines when using the App:
- Do not use the App for any illegal activities
- Do not interfere with or disrupt the normal operation of the App
- Do not attempt to access any part of the App without authorization
- Do not upload or distribute any infringing, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise inappropriate content
- Do not use automated tools or scripts to perform bulk operations on the App
4. Intellectual Property
4.1 App Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights in the App and its contents (including but not limited to code, interface design, icons, documentation) belong to us. Without our written permission, you may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works.
4.2 User Content
You retain ownership of all content you create in the App (project data, images, etc.). You grant us a license to use such content to the extent necessary to provide the service.
5. Disclaimer
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:
- Data loss due to device failure, network issues, or other technical reasons
- Data loss due to your failure to back up data
- Inaccuracies in OCR text recognition results
- Differences between chart parsing results and original charts
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the App
6. Service Changes and Termination
We reserve the right to:
- Modify, suspend, or terminate part or all of the App's features at any time
- Limit or adjust free version features
- Adjust subscription prices with advance notice
- Terminate your access for violations of these Terms
7. Data Backup Responsibility
You understand and agree that:
- Your data is primarily stored locally on your device
- Regular data backup is your responsibility
- We provide export functionality for you to back up data
- We are not responsible for data loss due to failure to back up
8. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services. By using the App, you agree to the respective terms of service:
- Apple App Store: App distribution and in-app purchases
- RevenueCat: Subscription management and verification
- Apple iCloud: Data synchronization (if enabled)
9. Terms Updates
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The updated terms will be posted within the App and on this page. Significant changes will be notified through in-app notifications. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall first be resolved through friendly negotiation; if negotiation fails, either party may bring the dispute to the competent people's court.
